Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates in Science Degree (computer or business-related). Additional two (2) years of programming experience may be substituted in lieu of Associate in Science degree.

Four (4) years of experience

Position Goal: This position is responsible for analyzing job requirements, designing systems and writing/modifying application programs as required.

Examples of Responsibilities:

To perform in this position with trust and responsibility when assigning passwords within the District

To develop/document new computer software systems as directed by the Director of Management Information Systems

To participate in various application project activities as an advisor and consultant to the Director of Management Information Systems

To trouble-shoot organizational and technical problems

To recommend practices and policies to improve overall service and to remedy specific user/section problems ·

To modify existing software as required

To recommend, develop, and enforce programming and operation standards within the school district

To act as user contact and generally be responsible for responding to user needs with regard to data processing activities

To make recommendations regarding employment, dismissal and evaluation of Data processing personnel

To compile budgets and payroll reports utilized by the negotiation team for collective bargaining proposals

To provide technical assistance to junior programmers and/or data entry operators as required

To perform other work-related duties as assigned by Supervisor
