Support Staff-Student Records Clerk
H.S. Diploma or GED required
Minimum of 1 year of related experience and/or educational equivalency.*
*Related college education may be substituted for experience on a year-to-year basis.
Keyboard Test (35 wpm)
Position Goal: This position is responsible for the input of student information into the central computer, as well as other related student records activities.
Examples of Responsibilities:
To answer phones and greet visitors as needed.
To maintain student records and to ensure timely processing of all scheduled computer work.
To assist school principals in establishing procedures for the accurate and timely submission of student data to the Administration Center for computer input.
To ensure that data processing reports are forwarded to Data Processing as required.
To serve as back-up to Guidance Clerk Typist.
To register and withdraw students.
To provide employees at their worksite with a copy of their inservice records when requested.
To assist in completing FTE and SATSY reports and to assure accuracy of data.
To maintain student attendance records, including computer input.
To make referrals to Student Services on students who are truant or have excessive absences.
Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
