This position focuses on student achievement by working with teachers to ensure quality implementations of research-based reading program(s) and scientifically-based reading strategies/practices at the secondary level.
Required qualifications, skills and experience
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, a valid Florida teaching certificate, and to be endorsed or certified in reading, or working towards endorsement or certification in reading.
A minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience.
Demonstrated competency in knowledge of the Sunshine State Standards, scientifically-based reading research, exemplary practices in reading instruction and data analysis.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct activities for teachers.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, administration, district staff, and the public.
Experienced in facilitating adult training.
