Tentative - Instructional-2026-2027-Avid Coordinator
The High School AVID Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership, management, and oversight of the AVID College and Career Readiness System to ensure compliance with AVID Center standards and effective implementation across the school. The coordinator plans, organizes, and monitors the AVID elective program; supports teachers in the integration of AVID instructional methodologies; and facilitates schoolwide professional learning aligned to WICOR and college‑readiness best practices. Key responsibilities include supervising and training AVID tutors, supporting the AVID site team, coordinating student recruitment and selection processes, and monitoring the academic progress, behavior, and attendance of AVID students. The AVID Coordinator also oversees required program documentation, prepares reports and data submissions, and participates in mandated training such as AVID Summer Institute. Additional duties include coordinating college visits and related enrichment activities, maintaining communication with families, and fostering partnerships with postsecondary institutions and community organizations to support students’ preparation for college, career, and lifelong success.
