District Resource Teacher - Mathematics
This role supports high-quality mathematics instruction across the district through three key areas:
1. Professional Learning for Teachers
* Design and deliver professional development aligned to Florida State Standards and AVID WICOR strategies.
* Facilitate data-informed learning sessions and instructional strategy workshops.
* Present to diverse stakeholders and support school-based professional growth.
2. Building Coaching Capacity
* Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to school-based instructional coaches.
* Support site administrators with implementation and follow-up.
* Collaborate regularly with department heads and coaches to identify instructional needs and promote differentiated instruction.
3. Curriculum Development and Support
* Lead curriculum writing and resource development for all student math courses.
* Ensure vertical alignment and continuity across grade bands.
* Consult on course placement, material selection, and alignment with state frameworks.
* Partner with the assessment department to create and monitor formative and summative assessments, analyze data trends, and support instructional decisions.
This position plays a vital role in promoting effective teaching practices and ensuring equitable access to high-quality mathematics instruction for all students.

Required qualifications, skills and experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree or higher with a valid Florida Teaching Certificate; must have completed a Certification and/or Endorsement for specific content area.
2. A minimum of three (3) years successful teaching experience. Academic coaching and/or teacher leadership experience required.
