Instructional-Literacy Coach

Job description

This position focuses on student achievement by working with teachers to ensure high-fidelity implementations of research-based reading program(s) and scientifically-based reading strategies/practices implemented in the school.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

Valid Florida Educator' s temporary or professional certification.
Minimum of a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and be endorsed or certified in reading, or working towards endorsement or certification
A minimum of three years successful teaching experience in English Language Arts instruction
Demonstrated competency in knowledge of State Standards, scientifically-based reading research, exemplar practices in English Language arts instruction.
Has experience in using data to drive instruction.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, administrators, district staff and the public.
Demonstrated knowledge of coaching models.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct activities for teachers.
Experienced in facilitating adult professional development.
Has understanding and experience as an instructional leader.
