Job description
Ensure postsecondary access for students with disabilities and convert IEP plans into postsecondary appropriate 504 plans. Work with students and families to Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to assess career goals and aspirations. Evaluate student skills, interests, and personality traits through assessments and interviews.
Develop personalized career plans and action steps for students. Provide information on educational programs, certifications, and training opportunities.
Assist students in writing resumes, cover letters, and preparing for job interviews. Organize and conduct career workshops and seminars. Stay updated with labor market trends and employment opportunities.
Facilitate networking events and connect clients with industry professionals. Collaborate with educational institutions and employers to create placement opportunities. Maintain detailed records of students progress and outcomes. Provide emotional support and encouragement during career transitions. Advise clients on effective job search strategies and techniques.
Help students identify potential career advancements and promotions. Conduct follow-up sessions to track student progress and provide ongoing support. Work with ACCESS, a grant funded program for postsecondary IND students- recruit and interview students, and support the classroom
Manage the CASE program, a program independently sponsored for postsecondary students with special needs.
Work with Vocational Rehabilitation to fund students and programs.

Required qualifications, skills and experience
Bachelor's Degree- Florida Teachers license required. ESE teacher's license preferred. 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred teaching various populations of students. Preferred experience in adult learning theory or adult education.
