Support Staff-Benefits Specialist (Risk Management)

Job description

This is an experienced technical position in insurance administration requiring an overall knowledge of employee insurance benefits. Responsibilities include insurance claims processing, the preparation of concise and comprehensive reports, written communication, and effective and tactful communication with the public. It requires accuracy, proficiency and involves a large degree of responsibility relying on the individual's ability and experience.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum of one (1) course post high school accounting
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in insurance claims processing or full charge accounting/bookkeeping (related college may be substituted)
Ability to prepare complex and accurate accounting and payroll reports and statements relating to insurance.
