Job description
This position is primarily responsible for providing building code plan review and inspection services in accordance with the requirements set forth in the Florida Building Code and Florida Statute. To assure that architectural and engineering plans and specifications meet Florida Department of Education rules and regulations.

Required qualifications, skills and experience
High School Diploma or GED. Must be a certified building inspector/plan reviewer licensed in the State of Florida*. Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred. *During the first year of employment, may hold a provisional certified building inspector/plan reviewer license.
Five (5) years minimum experience as a building inspector, building plans examiner, building code administrator, or project field representative within Florida. Educational Facilities experience preferred.
Must have a valid Florida Drivers License.
