Job description
This specialized position's responsibilities include implementing and managing numerous Community Relations programs, communication initiatives, and special events for the District. This position will assist in creatively promoting the School District and informing others through effective communication.

Maintain and grow the Osceola School District's social media presence through a variety of posts, interactive engagements, campaigns, original content, strategic approaches, and provide support for schools and departments.

Work with the district's Community Relations Communications team to develop and execute strategic communication plans with the Superintendent, School Board, and district leadership to promote initiatives, engagement, and advocacy, and to also increase community and internal knowledge of school and district priorities and accomplishments.

Required qualifications, skills and experience
Associate's Degree or High School Diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of related experience.
Five (5) years of experience in special event planning, marketing, or public relations. Good communication skills and ability to work well with a variety of people, considerable knowledge of the School District and the community.
