Job description
This position is responsible for the installation, repairs, preventive maintenance and service to air conditioning equipment. Also responsible for insuring proper operations of duct systems and cooling towers throughout the school district as well as correction of indoor air quality problems and energy management systems.

Required qualifications, skills and experience
Journeyman's license or Air Conditioning, Refrigeration Institute Certification or Associate's Degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or NATE Certification or ten (10) years commercial mechanical experience.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Four (4) years experience in the repair of A/C equipment or an equivalent combination of training and experience
Must be able to read and interpret construction blueprints and air conditioning wiring diagrams
Supply personal hand tools required to do the job in a professional manner
Physically fit for the demands of the job
Valid Florida Drivers' License
Experience in other maintenance areas or trades desired
Certified in Refrigerant Transition and Recovery in at least Type I, II,II or IV classification
