Support Staff-IEP Assistant
High school diploma or GED required.
Typing Test of 20 wpm
Prior ESE experience preferred.
Position Goal: Assist Local Education Agency Representative (LEA), Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Compliance Specialist, ESE teachers in their case management responsibilities and classroom coverage as needed during ESE meetings.
Examples of Responsibilities:
Assist in scheduling and coordination of ESE meetings (IEP meetings, staffings, placements, re-evaluations).
Maintain ESE files for organization as designated by ESE district department.
Copy, file, and distribute ESE paperwork upon completion of the ESE meeting.
Assist with classroom coverage during ESE meetings.
Maintain and update weekly class list of ESE students at assigned schools.
Assist with mail and phone correspondence.
Contact and gather placement information from previous school for transferring ESE students.
Assist in gathering data or information as needed for ESE students.
Attend professional development related to job responsibilities provided by district staff.
To perform other work-related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
