Support Staff-Technology Technician

Job description

This position is responsible for supporting and troubleshooting educational technology at the school and district level. The Technology Technician's role is to provide a single point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, Remote Access, or via e-mail) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.

Required qualifications, skills and experience

High School Diploma or equivalent and graduation from trade school in Computer or Electronic Technology, or other equivalent training.
Two years' experience troubleshooting technology equipment, Local Area Network or computer systems.
Must have a valid Florida Drivers License.
